Is dit echt aan te raden of is het een toeristenval.
Ik zou het ook eens willen doen.

De ricebarge van Jumbo ken ik niet, maar heb daar wel zeer enthousiaste verhalen over gehoord van vrienden over deze vorm van dineren op het water van de Chao Praya. Die zou je dan uiteindelijk kunnen combineren met een after diner borrel in de Distil of het buitenterras van de Scirocco.
Scheelt je veel geld en je krijgt toch de geweldige sensatie mee van het uitzicht, de luxe en het comfort van Lebua State Tower.

Gaat via Marriot Royal Garden Riverside aan de Chao Praya
Mahnora cruise, prachtig naar mijn mening, iedereen die ik er tot nu toe naar mee heb toegenomen vraagt altijd om een herhaling als ze hier weer zijn

De borrel kan je in Captains pub daar ook pakken of in het Oriental in de Jazz bar.....beetje duur, aardig vertoeven
Beter kan je in het centrum weer terecht en daar zit je vlakbij Silom.....

Onze laatste nacht in Thailand ( Bangkok) werd dan je suggestie - een sublieme waardige reisafsluiter - eentje om puur heimwee te krijgen …
Op de omgebouwde rijstboot Loy Nava was de set menu een heerlijk festijn!
Alles was er verzorgd en netjes en sfeervol.
Prijs via internetreservatie = 20% discount of 1295 Bath.

Gelukkig hoefde ik niet te betalen.

De bediening was redelijk en minder dan in sommige andere restaurants in de stad.
De prijs? BELACHELIJK duur. 19,000 Baht voor 5 personen. Koffie 210 Baht.
Gelukkig hoefde ik niet te betalen.

Dat zijn Europese prijzen in de wat betere restaurants aldaar.

Natuurlijk weet ik dat, maar dit is Thailand waar een maaltijd 25 Baht kan kosten. Waar personeel 5,000 Baht of daaromtrent per maand verdient. Waar ingredienten een fractie van de Europese prijs zijn. Ik kan het in ieder geval niet rechtvaardigen.

Neen, wijn was NIET de oorzaak. 1 fles voor 'maar' 3,000 Baht. Ik ZOEK niet naar een oorzaak. Ik heb de bon nog en weet wat het heeft gekost en dat het DUUR is.
