Beweerder, graag voor de volgende week een wat warmere voorspelling, die dan natuurlijk ook uit moet komen, want het weer van deze week zijn wij niet meer gewend en daar zijn wij ook niet op voorbereid met kleding, kachels, e.d., wij zitten hier ook echt niet te hopen op een witte kerst.

Trouwens je voorspelling van deze week was wel te doen, maar hij viel helaas overdag en 's nachts een graad of 5 lager uit.

Tropical Storm KAITAK

Issue 13 on 23 December 2017
The low pressure cell has downgraded from depression KAITAK over eastern Malaysia. During 23-24 December, it is forecast to moving to Malaysia and decay. There remains an increase of rainfall volume with torrential downpour especially in provinces of Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Trang and Stun. Residents keep watch for inshore surge and possible flash flood. Rough sea will be likely 2-4 meters high in the lower Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

The strong high pressure over upper Thailand begins weak with a rise in temperature but still brings about the upper country outbreaks of continuous cold spells and fog in some places. People stay safe and keep healthy.

Colder Conditions in Upper Thailand and Strong Wind-waves in South

The strong high-pressure system covers the Northeast, the East, the Central and the North while thundershower spells are likely in the North by today (11 January). Colder weather, strong winds and drop in temperature by 4-6°C are likely in the upper country. The top of the mountaintops will see cold to very cold spells in the North and the Northeast. People should keep healthy, stay safe and watch for crops damage.

The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand and the South bringing isolated downpours in the South with rough sea 2-3 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. Residents along the Gulfs shore should watch for inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore lasting 15 January.
